Which servers can I log in to?

A: Log in to the user interface ui.farm.particle.cz (it is a single Round Robin alias for all login servers within the farm Golias).

UI servers can be used for normal computationally inexpensive work that doesn’t severely impact machine performance for other users. It is forbidden to use login servers for computationally demanding tasks which must be processed using HTCondor batch system (for batch job debugging you can use an interactive job).

To provide fair access for all users to resources on UI servers we have set quotas per user for memory size and a number of cores. The higher value is taken from following values: 8 GB of RAM or ten percent of the total RAM up to max 64 GB, 2 cores or ten percent of the total number of cores up to max 6 cores.
